Tina creates one-of-a-kind figurative sculptures from paperclay. She experiments with texture before tearing thin slabs of clay, which she uses to construct the form. "I approach the work as I would a drawing and I hope to achieve a sketch-like feel to the sculptures. I find it a very spontaneous way to create, and I can respond to the clay and impress my emotion on it as I sculpt the pieces." Tina is very interested in the human form and the human condition, its fragility and sensitivities.
Tina also produces drawings, paintings, collages and prints. |
